After 21 years behind the chair, I saw the same thing over and over. People who wanted healthy, beautiful hair but didn't have the time, the energy, or the right product to make it happen. I also saw clients washing their hair more and more often then needed just to make their ends feel manageable, which in return was stripping the natural oils from the scalp, causing it to become overactive and produce even more oil. At the same time, the ends were becoming drier, more fragile and harder to manage.
I created Barely because I wanted to break that cycle, over washing just to fix the ends. I wanted to create something simple, effective, and gentle. Products that require barely any effort, while staying closer to nature. Something professional in its knowledge, but human in its care. I wanted to give ladies a more balanced way to care for their hair between wash days.
While I was building Barely, my family experienced a loss that changed everything. Continuing this brand during the lowest chapter of my life became something I hadn't expected. A source of hope, strength, and healing. A way of showing my three daughters that even in the darkest moments, we can stand together, keep going, and still find a way to blossom.
Every single Barely product is made with that in mind.
This isn't just a haircare brand.
This is our story. This is our future. This is Barely.
